Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Postrider (the "Service"), operated by Postrider ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Postrider provides a secure portal for businesses to send confidential messages and documents to their customers. Content is encrypted at rest and is accessed only through the portal; email is used solely for notifications, never to deliver confidential content.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and any recovery key issued to you, and for all activity under your account. Staff and administrator accounts are required to enable two-factor authentication. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You must provide accurate information and be authorized to use any email address you register.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: uploading unlawful or infringing content; attempting to access data you are not authorized to access; probing, scanning, or circumventing security or rate-limiting controls; or using the Service to transmit malware. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Customer content

You retain all rights to the content you submit. You grant us the limited rights necessary to host, encrypt, store, and transmit that content to provide the Service. We do not access the contents of end-to-end encrypted items, which we cannot decrypt.

5. Subscriptions and fees

Organizations start with a free 30-day trial — no credit card required. After the trial, business plans are billed at $2 per staff seat per month; a “seat” is a staff member at your organization, and your customers (consumer recipients) are always free and never count toward your bill. Fees and billing details are presented at sign-up and in your administrator console.

6. Data retention and deletion

You may export or delete your account data at any time from your account settings, subject to any legal hold placed on an organization's records. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
